Events that facilitate dialogue and strengthening of “multilateral relations” between the departments are important parts of our employees´ day-to-day routine. The most important event in this regard are the company lunches that take place every eight´s week on Friday. When different employees take turns to cook for the entire staff, and even the boss gets his turn. The original idea behind this culinary event was to spotlight the regional specialty “tarte flambée”. Since then, many different specialties have been served.
Aside from these rather different approaches to facilitating internal communications, there is another aspect worth mentioning that distinguishes the company. Contrary to the standard hiring practices in Germany and abroad, which focuses primarily on giving the young a chance, we at heimatec believe in combining the “fire of youth” with the “experience of age”. Our objective is to maintain a staff of approx. 85 employees and follow hiring practices not dictated by economic trends.
